14 Reasons to Love Where You Live

As a new development in South Jordan, Utah, Daybreak Homes wanted to brand itself as a desirable place to live. We created a series of 14 short-form Instagram stories highlighting 14 reasons people should move to Daybreak.

Objective

Brand Daybreak as a desirable place to live to help sell new homes.

Sell 500 homes during the campaign period, June–August 2019.

Audience

Middle-aged families moving to Salt Lake City and actively shopping for single-family homes. 

Target people in Utah as well as those relocating from California.

Strategy

Create a series of 14 short-form Instagram videos highlighting 14 reasons people should move to Daybreak.

Highlight six events through videos posted on Facebook.

Instagram Ad Series

These ads were designed to be short and visually compelling to “stop the scroll” on Instagram and win an audience for a short time. We experimented with storytelling tactics using different plays on light and perspective and even choosing to create one-shot videos with hero shots that could tell a complete story.

Results

654 homes sold, performing 31% above the campaign goal

The Instagram videos garnered more than 67,000 views

Daybreak was subsequently ranked #10 on the RCLCO list of best master-planned communities in the nation
